400GB Blu-ray Disks!

Pioneer Blu-ray 400GBPioneer have today announced that they are working on (And can demonstrate) a 400gb Blu-ray like disk.  While not yet compatible with current bluray technology it does use very simlar techniques, for this reason they are hoping to make it backwards compatible.

Blu-ray Cracked.

Buray When Sony first announced their HD DVD format, otherwise known as Blu-ray they said it would be uncrackable for 10 years, minimum.  It does however seem that our friends at Skysoft had already cracked it in November, they were simply waiting to see which format won the war before releasing a new version of their software.

Microsoft says end of HD DVD won’t hurt Xbox 360

As the reports were coming that Toshiba Corp. is going to discontinue HD DVD technology, it seemed rather possible that it will be affecting the Microsoft XBox 360 Gaming console. But Microsoft in a statement yesterday, said that this is not expected to affect sales of its Xbox 360 game console.
