Projector for Your Cellphone

Cellphone ProjectorKorea Electronics Technology Institute has revealed today it is developing a 4 ounce projector device for cell phones.  This seems a very positive move from the flexible screen tv that many other companies are looking into.

The current Alpha model of teh ibuilt phone device can create a 60 inch clear image from 6 feet away, quite a feat for such a small device!

I do however get the feeling it will destroy battery life!

Fuel Cell ComputerI have just seen the review of the latest long life fuel cell for laptops. THis protootype is designed for military use, but carries a stunning 14 hour battery life at surprisingly little cost!

Hologram Telecoms – the Future is Here Today

Hologram Technology in Actionems as if the future is here today as Telstra demonstrated a working Hologram displaying a person giving a speech from 460 miles away in Australia.

The life sized 3D image was projected onto the stage where CEO Hugh Bradlow interacted with the audience (who he could see via webcam feeds)

This has been one of the few real examples of hologram technology put into use for communcations, although it is still too expensive for any real business or personal use.

AMD to take on Intel Dominance

AMD Gaming Excellence StickerAMD have today announced that they will be bringing out a standard for excellence on gaming machines.  Any machine that meets this standard will be allowed to display a sticker noting that it is either at gaming, or pro gaming level.

This seems to be a specific stab at Intel when they announced an integrated graphics/processor chip, something that could increase PC Performance but may damage competition.
