So lets take a more indepth look at this brand new web browser. As the graph shows Google Chrome is by far one of the fastest running browsers available. Although some may argue that currently this is down to Chrome having next to no additional features it is hard to deny that its new multi process backend is having a significantly positive effect on performance. Web pages load quickly and smoothly, with few errors.Javascript performance is also incredibly advanced in chrome, the following graph tested by CNet Australia shows quite simply staggering results. In every single test Google Chrome shows outstanding Java results. This means that for teh majority of sites you load you will see a heavily increased performance with significantly reduced loading times.

Memory Usage Memory Usage is Google Chromes next big advantage. Because Chrome uses several processes and therefore independent memory blocks whenever you close a window or tab google will completely kill that process and the memory block it used. Compare this to current browsers where no matter how many windows you open and close the browser has just one memory blog it modifies. This unfortunately means that slowly but surely the amount of memory used grows as fragments of data do not get cleared when you close a window or tab. This is why after 5 hours of using Firefox or IE you may find memory consumption reaching 400MB even though you only have one page open, with Chrome your computer will openly be loading the memory it requires for what you have open.

Crash Protection Chrome has fantastic crash protection. Because Chrome has a single process for each and every window or tab if an error occurs in one window or tab it will ONLY affect that window or tab if you have several tabs in one window. This is great news for anyone who has seen one website error cause 40+ tabs to shut down at the same time losing your work, research and more. This also would tend to happen in the past when one would use a poor PDF converter tool, that didn’t always operate efficiently.

Visual Management Because Chrome has a process for each tab you open it means that the tabs can be moved from window to window, converted into a new window or simply re-arrange them with very little fuss. re-organisation of tabs uses only a few kilobytes of memory as it affects only a few functions! The amount of versatility in this does not sound that good until you try it, I suggest you give it a go today!

Security By separating processes Google Chrome allows you to section off a browser window to be fully secure. In this window no personal data is passed into your machine, protecting you from data theft and fraud! These security windows keep what you surf and what information you enter private. So why do I hate this fantastic browser? Well it is in beta, there is no available addon management even though it is open source and I cannot, no matter how hard I try, make this my default browser!! Hopefully though a few weeks will turn the Google Chrome Web Browser into a 100% stable and addon compatible internet Browser!

A White and Pink Slightly Girlier PHPBB3 Theme, great for preganacy or womens forums, does tend to put men off your forum if you use this PHPBB 3 theme though!

Vista PHPBB3 Theme

This is a PHPBB3 theme design made to fit in seamlessly with WIndows Vista. the Vista PHPBB3 theme has a great streamlined interface that slots in perfectly for users of Windows Vista.

Smart Blue PHPBB3 Theme

The Smart Blue PHPBB3 Theme is a great streamlined simplistic theme designed to give you a fast loading minimalistic forum, I use this PHPBB3 theme a lot!

Poolhall Junkies PHPBB3 Theme

This is a great PHPBB 3 Theme that I have used on my snooker website. The forum theme is heavily based around the snooker/pool genre.

Milky Way

This theme is a bright vibrant PHPBB3 Theme that is great for a lot of forums based for the younger crowd.

AcidTech

A DarkBlue PHPBB theme, looks quite classy if you change some images. This is a great forum theme for those who are goign for a more underground/cool look.

Carbon Copy

Carbon Copy is a fantastically Sleek and suave PHPBB3 theme. With dark rounded corners and sweet designs this is definately one of my most used themes.

EGY Light

EGY Light is a stylish simplistic grey and white PHPBB3 theme. Designed for those who wante a fast loading simple PHPBB3 interface for their users.

FISubIce2

FISubIce2 is a remake of the popular Subsilver theme on PHPBB2. This PHPBB3 theme is fantastic for those who loved the original version of SubSilver.

HardCamo

HardCamo is a military themed PHPBB3 Theme, perfect for those who are looking for a clan or first person shooter forum. If you like these kinda games try bringing in this PHPBB3 theme for your forum!

Inspiration

Inspiration is a fantastic clean simplistic green forum, its only downside is a fixed width (Two options available) That may cause problems for some of your users!

Of course once you have found out that windows live writer plugins exist you have to decide which ones to have, well these are in my opinion the most useful windows live writer plugins.

1) Portable Windows Live Writer – One of the major drawbacks of Windows Live Writer is that it requires an Install.  This plugin allows you to run Windows Live Writer anywhere off a USB stick.

2) Webcam Snapshot Plugin – The Webcam Snapshot Plug in for Windows Live Writer gives you a fantastic addition to your blog, allowing you to quickly take a shot of what you are doing and insert it directly into your blog.

3) Website Preview Tool – The Website Preview Plug in for Windows Live Writer is a great addition for any blog, allowing its readers to preview sites in a small thumbnail before deciding whether or not to click the link.

4) Multiple Tags Plugin – One of the drawbacks of Live Writer is its restriction on number of Tags that can be used, this plugin can remove this limit to help you structure your blog.

5) Windows Live Writer Backup – While this is not really a plugin, more a standalone tool, it does do a fantastic job of backing up your Windows Live Writer Blogs.  A Windows Live Writer Backup tool is essential to anyone who wants security incase of blog loss!

6) Windows Live Writer Video Embed – The Video Embed Plugin for Windows Live Writer is a great little tool from Scott is a Fool that allows you to embed videos in your blog, not only that but if you are uploading to a service that does not support embeded vidoes such as MSN Live Space then it will allow you to take a screenshot which will link directly to the video.

7) El Bruno Add Links – El Bruno Addlinks is one of those tools that you never realise how useful it can be till you use it.  This plugin for Window Live Writer simply has a pop-up list of links you have previously specified.  This is amazingly useful if you run several blogs and need to use certain links continuously!

This has been one of the few real examples of hologram technology put into use for communcations, although it is still too expensive for any real business or personal use.

The hologram technology is a fantastic step forward, and proof that it can be done with todays tehnology. It seems that the star trek future is not quite as far away as previously expected.

The holographic future is something that has always seemed a far and distant future, idolised in sci fi series and films the likes of Minority Report. The ability to place a complete image of someone infront of an audience is an immense achievement, demonstrating the possibilities of the future, something only hampered by its current incompatability with mass production and the price hike that goes with that.

Either way it leaves the possibility that Hologram techinology, home videos and phones could see the light of day within my lifetime!

First Things First.

In Windows there a fair number of programs that sit in the background and for most people will do absolutely nothing.  This includes things like Fax tools, Tablet PC Compatibility, UNIX Application Compatibility and the like.

These can easily be disabled by going to your control panel and clicking ‘Uninstall or Change a Program’.  In the Tasks Pane on the left you will see a text link called ‘Turn Windows Features On or Off’

This will bring up a list of basic windows programs that are automatically loaded with windows.  Disabling these can speed up both your Windows Vista Startup Time and Vista overall performance.

Once you have done this you can take a more in depth look at the programs starting with windows.  To do this click the start button and type services.msc

Here you will see a list of more detailed services on your computer, these can be harder to decipher, but most have good descriptions.  If you see something that you are not too sure of then you can usually find an answer by having a quick search on google for its program name.  In nearly all cases though you can disable things such as Windows Error Reporting, tablet PC Input, Remote Registry and Distributed Link Tracking Client.

Be careful what you disable however as there are some integral services that are required for Vista to run on these lists.  It is a good idea to keep track of what you disable so you can re-enable it if required!

Another good place to check for erroneous startup items is in MSConfig.  Again, you find this by clicking start and typing msconfig.  A box will come up (The same as in Windows XP)

To speed up your windows boot time here you can click on startup and remove any programs that you do not want loading automatically with windows.

Disabling these will not disable the program, it just means it will load when it is needed, not on Vista Startup.  This will greatly increase your loading speed.

Readyboost is the next feature you MUST look at to experience a much faster boot times for Vista.  Readyboost is a unique Vista feature that turns any USB flash device into ‘extra memory’.  While it will not be as fast or as effective as internal memory it will help speed up your computer at a relatively cheap price!

This will not only increase the speed windows loads but it will also increase the overall performance of your PC!

It is spectacularly easy to transform Windows XP so it looks and acts like vista. The Easiest way to do it is to get a program such as WindowBlinds This has a free version available but using this may cause errors, it is way easier to shell out a rather mediocre $20.

Converting XP to look like Vista has several benefits. Firstly you get all of Vista’s sleek looks with none of its slow speeds, giving you what feels like a faster Vista, you also have none of the compatability issues of Vista, meaning you can use all your old games and software in a Vista style environment!

There is a downside though, many users have reported problems when trying to remove the Vista looks and revert to XP, there have been reports of DLL errors, these can be replaced if the worst comes to the worst, but it is an annoyance.

Overall I think this conversion is amazing, I now use it on one of my PCs and it runs smoother and faster than any Vista Machine I have ever used.

Every one of us has used PirateBay one time or the other to download stuff off the internet. If you ask me, I am really a torrent freak (no pun intended) and download at least 5 torrents everyday. But if you want to use torrents at your college or any other similar place, there are chances the administrators may have blocked the major torrent search engine. We know we can use proxies to access blocked websites. What is more fun than using our favorite search engine to download torrents. Here is a simple trick which will let us search torrents in Goggle and eventually download them. You just need to enter the following search terms in Google search bar.

This trick can help you not only download torrent files but all other types of files that are available for download on the internet like mp3, flv et al. To download MP3 files using Google, enter the following search term:
