Dolby Surround on your Cell PhoneDolby have announced that they are releasing a version of their software for Mobile Cellphones.  The announcement came as it has been built into the new 8GB Nokia N95.  Now personally I love the Nokia N95, and having an 8GB version With surround sound seems pretty damn awsome! Match this powerful combo upto a decent pair of of headphones then suddenly you have one hell of a sound system in your pocket!

The Dolby software will soon be released on all symbian phone products!… Continue Reading»

iPhoneO2 today announced that they would be cutting the price of the iPhone by £100 ($200) to £169 this week. The move comes shortly after German iPhone provider T-Mobile cut the handset price to a mere 99 Euros, thats around £70 or $140 to you or me.

The Reasoning begind this is as yet undecided. Some people say it is due to an imminent release of a 3G version of the iPhone, others think it may be due to Nokias announcement that they soon will be replacing an iPhone killing device… Continue Reading»

Buray When Sony first announced their HD DVD format, otherwise known as Blu-ray they said it would be uncrackable for 10 years, minimum.  It does however seem that our friends at Skysoft had already cracked it in November, they were simply waiting to see which format won the war before releasing a new version of their software.

Personally I think this is a good thing, not for the aspect of people burning their own copies of Blu-ray movies, but more because I hate the fact that Sony is always… Continue Reading»

Boynq offers up myriad of artsy speakers, peripherals

It’s been a tick since we’ve seen any randomness from Boynq’s labs, but it looks like the firm has worked up quite a number of design-centric speaker stations, iPod sound systems, and superfluous USB-related gizmos of late. Among the standouts are the iCube II (pictured), which sports ten-watts of amplification, an iPod docking port, line-in, dedicated treble / bass controls, and a rather sexy look, too. Additionally, the tooth-shaped Sabre operates much like the aforementioned device but touts twice the wattage and a video output, and the USB-powered Alibi webcam… Continue Reading»
