Real Lightsaber Hits the Shelves

Real Lightsabre

Real Lightsabre

I have to admit, it is not often that I get readily excited by Geeky things nowadays.  I hate to sound snotty, but one of the key things about any geeky gadget is that it has to be useful to an extend that can be considered nerdish.

Most of the major technological releases over the last few years have just seemed a little too useless to me.  I mean, coffetable Internet pads which cost twice as much as a laptop with… Continue Reading»

Green Burger King

Burger King Goes GreenBurger King are not really known for their environmentally friendliness, today however they have announced that they will be installing special speed bump which captures the kenetic energy or cars passing over it.

While burger king have claimed this is a move to go green, I am not sure the amount of electricity these speed bumps create will cover the amount of gas fumes released as the slow moving car creates enough power to clear the bump.

Either way it is nice to see the yet another company jumping… Continue Reading»

The microwave association is not the only group worried however, Cell Phone companies have been cast a worrying glance after it was revealed this product uses phone frequencies to cook the food.

Remember the hypochondria about brains being fried and cancer being spawned… Continue Reading»

Nanotech Power Crystals the Future Power Source?

Green power generation technology is an incredibly hot topic, but the truth of the matter is that many current ‘clean power’ methods require huge amounts of maintenance which can infact harm the environment more than protect it.

As nanotechnology advances though it is becoming increasingly clear to scientists that certain types of crystal at an incredibly small scale could infact help generate power to keep your mobile running longer simply by working off the vibrations caused by your own voice!

This is not just limited to mobiles however, washing machine vibrations, street vibrations and more could be used to help power the… Continue Reading»
