Number 1 iPhone 3G Custom Software

Dictaphone for iPhoneThe iPhone 3G has been out for only a week and yet already there has been a slew of iPhone 3G software released for the iPhone 2 3G. The software varies from the mundane to the wacky, but this Dictaphone Utility for the iPhone 3G is in my opinion one of the most inovative I have seen!

The Dictaphone tool for the iPhone 3g lets you record a voice track onto your iPhone 3G and then (This is the clever part) can transcribe it to text and either save it onto… Continue Reading»

Projector for Your Cellphone

Cellphone ProjectorKorea Electronics Technology Institute has revealed today it is developing a 4 ounce projector device for cell phones.  This seems a very positive move from the flexible screen tv that many other companies are looking into.

The current Alpha model of teh ibuilt phone device can create a 60 inch clear image from 6 feet away, quite a feat for such a small device!

I do however get the feeling it will destroy battery life!

KETIS Eye Glass Display technology is a vast improvement over the nearest competition in the portable projector… Continue Reading»

Apple iPhone 2 – They have Answered Prayers But Shot Down Dreams

iPhone 2

Apple captured the hearts of many phone users last year with the release of the iPhone, but many felt that the phone was lacking.

This week Apple anounced the release of the iPhone 2 (or the iPhone 3G). The iPhone 2 does at first glance seem to answer many prayers of its followers, with much faster downloading of music, GPS tracking and faster innards. It will also quite surprisingly allow third party applications, allowing you to customise your iPhone 2!

The downsides slowly seem to be piling up though, in a… Continue Reading»

HTC Touch Diamond – The Real iPod Killer

HTC DiamondDespite my dislike of the Apple iPod when it was first released the iPod did have a fantastic interface and a sleek design. After Apple realised where the market was heading and moved into DRM free technology (The main reason I disliked the iPod) the iPod even began to appeal to me. Then the iPhone was released, another fantastic device.

Most devices plugged as iPod or iPhone killers tend to fail miserably, their interfaces are never as smooth or effective as they try to clone Apples design, they seem to… Continue Reading»
