I have been a fan of the super mario series since it’s inception. The New Super Mario Bros game was no exception, and easily made it in to both my top DSi Games list and my best DS games list.

New Super Mario Bros has broken all kinds of sales records, and is by far the most popular Nintendo DS Game available on the market to date. I don’t know exactly what it is about this timeless franchise that makes it remain so popular in it’s 2D platform form.

in essence, New Super Mario Brothers is not really that much different from its predecessors, except for some new graphics. In some ways you feel like there should be more new additions to New Super Mario Bros, but when I think about it, I can’t help but wonder if Nintendo got this game exactly right.

After all, when I play a mario brothers game, I know what I want, a simple addictive 2D pick up and play game, and this is exactly what the New Super Mario Bros. delivered for the Nintendo DS! Maybe the New Super Mario Brothers is not the most inventive Nintendo DS game ever made, but it’s qualities definitely make it one of the best!
