Recently we did a post on the Micro SD Card Portable Projector, A smart little projector unit at a cheap price.  Now however Samsung has noticed the popularity of this little device and decided to join the fray.

The Samsung P400 Pocket Projector is not really designed for a pocket, it is fairly large however weighing in at only 1kg it is most definitely portable.

The Samsung P400 is a fantastic little portable projector, not only because of its low weight but also itrs 2 hour battery life, internal speakers and host of connectors that will hook up your device to almost any device you would wish to name.

While it is sleek and fairly sturdy I would not suggest treating this device too roughly, while the case seems fairly strong I wouldn’t trust it to survive a sudden drop!

The Image from this portable projector is very good quality, you can easily get a 50 inch screen with the projector approximately 2 meters away, and while the sound isn’t up to much it is a great feature to have.

Set up itself is fast and easy, with focusing a doddle and connecting devices as simple as you can get!  The 2 hour battery life of the projector is easily more than enough to cover a normal length film, however it does limit the usefulness of the device.

The real downside of the Samsung P400 Pocket Projector is its price tag.  At £550 ($1100) you are talking a fairly big hit to your bank balance, making this a fairly expensive option, especially compared with the MIcro SD Portable Projector which is around a fifth of the price!
