A few months ago we did a report on the US Armys Latest Robotic Killing machine SWORDS. It seems however that after several uses in combat it has begun to train its gun on friendly soldiers. Uhoh! Fortunately in these cases the soldiers have managed to subdue the machine before anyone was hurt, but even so the blunder could have been devestating for the US Military Department.

The machine itself is similar to the TALON unit used by Bomb disposal squads, but packing a machine gun instead of bomb defusing equipment. The Defense department assured the world that the machines attempted attack on its comrades was a tracking issue and not anything more malevolent, however that was no comfort to the soldiers who had to struggle with it when the gun started turning without reason!
