Most Useful and Absolutely Essential Tools for Digg Users
Most of the time I find myself addicted to Digg. I spent hours together on digg, analyzing the stories that hit the front page regularly, users whose stories hit the FP more often, so on and so forth. These tools help me to make my digg experience better and also look beneath the stories that are submitted to digg. Let me get direct to the list:

Created by a digg user, this shows you the stories that have hit the Digg frontpage, the number of diggs it took to hit FP, the number of buries it has got, the time it took for a story to hit Frontpage and so on.
DiggTop:

It is a desktop application that runs on Windows and Mac OSX that lets you view the stories right inside of it and also gives a direct link to the article. It display a slide show of images scraped from the submission and lets you preview the videos without leaving the app. You need to have Adobe AIR installed to use it.

It is an online Digg Browser

You just need to keep this web page open and it will make a special sound whenever a new story hits the Digg Frontpage.

It provides some useful data like the most popular domain on Digg, the most used nouns in submissions.

Digg vs Dot:
Shows the act of crossposting articles from digg and slashdot.

This lets you view and digg your favorite stories right on your pocket PC. A similar tool is Digg Mobile with which you can use digg on Symbian and other similar mobile phones.
Digg Alerts:
This tools notifies you when an article is submitted to digg which interest you. You have to first setup the categories you are interested in.
