Jonas Sampson is a world renowned designer in lifestyle goods that mix technology with style. Today he proves this with his release of Light Emitting Wallpaper that will make its debut this year at a Milan Design Festival. This wallpaper not only houses an infinate array of designs but it can also be switched off and leave the wallpaper jsut as it would be without the lights.

Infact the only downside I can see to this amazing looking technology that can easily keep a whole room well lit is the sole fact that unlike an ordinary light bulb this may take some significant work to replace!

The technology itself works by using technology such as OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) than can be ‘rolled’ onto the wallpaper, and invisible to the naked eye they will light up one a current is passed through them. This is one of many uses forseen for OLEDs which have been signed as a possibility for roll up mobile tv screens, low power consumption laptops and more!
