Out of 7 different bluehost hosted sites that have hit the front page over the past 8 weeks, everyone went down 3 seconds after hitting the homepage, and they all stay down for a very long time.

Bluehost is too packed it can't handle a digg it can't handle anything anymore.

Bluehost? are you kidding me? Bluehost are probably the worse, I am a bluthost customer and i'm switching to mediatemple next month, Sure, bluehost's hosting plans are great, but the reality is they screw you over with the cpu/memory quota, I know that from personal experience, when you account gets a slight increase in traffic they immediately suspend your account due to "exceeded cpu quota" this is a common problem with bluehost users.

the other day my website was featured on the front page of IMDB and once the traffic hit in, my account got suspended and it remained suspended the entire day, and the worse part about bluehost is their technical support, helpdesk tickets take normally 24 to 48 hours as a minimum, and as you know with webhosting you can't afford to just sit around for 24 hours helplessly while your site goes offline and you can't do anything about it.

and their live chat help system is a joke, if you try to use it in regards to tech support due to any of their many common problems regarding your website going down all you get is a paragraph from the FAQ, but no live what, no real person to talk to. :\

Media Temple has gotten a lot of praise recently. Their prices aren't bad either. I had problems with my old host, so hopefully the new one is better.

Site5 is SOOO much better than Dreamhost. I used to be a Dreamhost customer, and their servers are completely overloaded with people. Their speed wasn't very good, and their customer service sucked. I've had a much better experience with Site5 - and it's only $5/month for 50GB of space, 5TB of bandwidth, and 55 domain pointers - they've since doubled this deal for the same price, and now they're doing 750GB of space, 7.5 TB of bandwidth, and unlimited domain pointers for $7.50/month. If you have Dreamhost, try it out.

http://ln-s.net/1$bV
