Not every social network is alike. Social networking is basically about individuals, and also for those who have offbeat interests. Here are some of the weirdest networks that fulfill those offbeat interests.

Geni is a powerful family organizing tool. Using Geni, you can create your family tree. Al you need to do is enter your name, name of your parents and start your family tree. Then you need to enter the details of your spouse, kids, and siblings and expand the tree of your family. When you reach a point where you don’t know more details about your family tree, you can enter the email ID of the last person in your tree you know, then he will be invited to join Geni enter more members of your family tree and eventually completing it.

This is a location based social network where people connect ideas and suggestion to physical locations. You can create and share sticky notes tied to different locations worldwide. Imagine you had gone to Kashmir and your phone beeps and tells you that there is national park just around the corner. Got the idea! This actually what the site plans to do, Tell the people more about locations.
The sociologist at Columbia University are Experimenting online to prove that World is too small. You need to register and login. Man, your blog is loading really slow right now, you getting a lot of traffic?
Not at the moment, I get the feeling it might somehow be an issue with yield build, which I am currently testing out on the site.
I just recorded teh page load with Firebug and it seems that most of teh delays are coming from the adverts.
I’ll get in touch with their tech support and see whats happenign, they have been undergoing some upgrades recently so it could be because of that. Thanks for the heads up though!
