Firefox Downloaded 400 million times in less than 3 years

TechCrunch is reporting that the Best browser in the world, Firefox, has been downloaded 400 million times in only three years. The Firefox downloads get doubled every year. There are roughly 120 Million Firefox users, but I am confused that where did the rest 280 million downloads go.

Not everyone that downloads Firefox actually installs it and not everyone that installs it keeps on using it (I know, strange.)

That’s going to be a big challenge for us going forward — improving retention. I believe we’re doing quite well for free downloadable software but we should also figure out how to do better.
