For a few months now I have been in the market for a new smart phone. For about a year now I have been using the Apple 3GS.  This phone is very functional, but boy is it slow.  So the time has come to get a new faster smart phone, and it looks like it is going to be the Samsung Galaxy S2.

This article is not going to be an in-depth review of the Galaxy S2, instead I am going to give a write up of exactly why I am going to buy this phone, when there is… Continue Reading»

While Zalman notebook coolers are famed for their near silent cooling… Continue Reading»

httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9C4wNgnrXTY

I don’t normally spend much time playing iPhone games, I use my iPhone much more for business than pelasure. However I was at SXSWi 2011 and stumbled across the Traveller-AR iPhone MMORPG. This amazing game is going to bring a true (WoW) style space MMORPG to the iPhone, which in itself is an amazing feat, however there is a lot more to this game than first meets the eye.

The first thing is Traveller-AR is based on the pen and paper roleplaying game from the 1970′s.  Since then it has had four decades… Continue Reading»

HBO Damage Their Reputation Once More

HBO are a company that has produced some great TV over the years. Despite their accolades for shows such as Band of Brothers, they always seem to do something which just gives them a bad name.

Their latest bashing by the press came after Jeff Cusson, the Vice President of Corporate Affairs, said that “HBO believes in content exclusivity, especially for high-value content”. This is not the first time that HBO have talked about what sounds very much like charging a premium to inflate the value of it’s content.

This came in response to their claim from a… Continue Reading»
